Depends on how much $$ you want to spend. I'm leaving my stock 3.42's till I can pony up the dough for a MWC 9".

Only problem I've had with my Strange 12-bolt in the 13 years I've owned it are the spider gears in the HD carrier breaking twice at the track. This is after about 20 outings within that time frame. Lots of 1.70 60' launches and a hand full of sub 1.6 in a full weight car as well as countless launches on the street with Nittos FWIW.

i'll post pictures tomorrow..got the gears out and housing cleaned up. The pinion gear had half the teeth gone and the ring was evenly chewed up all the way around. Had to order a new pinion nut and will put it back together with the 4:10's tomorrow.

unless you go easy on the 4.10's, you will more than than likely eat those gears up too.

Oh i know. But i have them already....so it will end up costing me 30 buck to fix it for now. I will have to get a good rear at some point....just no cash for that at the very second

Get a solid pinion sleeve. Does make the rear noisy, but tends to make the gears last a bit longer.... IMO.

Got a part #?

Was thinking of going with these 3.90's after they were REM polished and cryo'd.
