A-body guys clutch master cylinder mount with Power brakes.
Ive got a 68 Chevelle and doing the t56 swap now but i cant figure out how to mount the clutch master cylinder using power brakes. Ive used this bracket off Ebay but it made for non power brakes. Problem is it wont my master wont clear my booster. So how are you A-Body guys doing it?

In my 71 I had no problems with clearance. I use the template found in the FAQ., was marketed my S&P, but originally designed by ATS. I made it out of 1/4" steel.

Thats the bracket i bought but my wilwood master cylinder will not clear my dual 8" brake booster. Which master cylinder did you use? And do you have any pics of your pedal and rod hook up?

Well, first of all, that is a conversion bracket for an OEM style F-Body master, so I am no sure if it well work with the Wildwood master.
I can only assume the you would have to mount the Wildwood in a more conventional setup on the firewall. Sorry, I can't help much on that..
Good luck

Use a factory type f body slave cylinder,it is made to work on a slope and can clear the bottom of the brake booster.I built my own bracket but I think Ive seen brackets for this. The wilewood comes straight out from the firewall and hits the brake booster as you have discovered.

Thanks for all ur guys input. I wanted to kinda stay away from the f-body master being i already had the wilwood. I talked to kiesler and american powertrain today cuz they make firewall mount bracket that goes where the mechanical linkage came through originally and it will work with my master and clear everything. Here's a link of what i picked up.

Ok boys I've got her figured out. I went with the American Powertrain set up with a wilwood master. This bracket would have be great for a car that was originally an automatic car, you could just drill a few 3/8" holes and sandwich the firewall and be in business. But i was not that lucky, mine was 3 on tree. So what i came up with was take off the retainer ring and rubber boot off the firewall. Then i took the retainer ring made it flat on both sides and made a templete of the retainer ring with thick gauge metal (16ga.). I then bolted it to the firewall from the inside covering the 2" round hole where mechanical linkage went through. Then i took my new bracket and put it up against it drew out the holes and slot then drilled them so i would have something to sandwich to. Seems like it should work out great its very stout.
