What fuel are you running?

Do you have an ignition box?

Are you going to change the plugs?

What rings are in it?

What's the part number on the pistions?

How much do you want to spend?

Do you want to run a progressive?

Good luck getting everything you need for 600. Is your car a stick or auto? If stick and this is your first Nitrous run I'd get a progressive controller, it's easier for new guys IMO. Also you need an ignition box like stated above. If you can hook everything up yourself you'll save a pretty penny.

I have had 3 cars on tha bottle.
It's a 6speed car
I will do the install myself
And I can pick up kits off of local forums pretty cheap and add a few small things I can get away with between 600-800 I also have a few odds and ends laying around the kit isn't the problem
And I'm going to spray

So how much could I spray safely
I know it has Hastings rings but never wrote down the specs
I'm not asking for much Maby a 175shot

A bone stock engine will take a 175 shot. LOTS of "bolton" cars have sprayed 150-175 long term heck one of them went to a good ported heads and cam setup and went faster NA than it used to on a 150 shot.

On the heads are they as cast or ported.

Get an ignition box and work your way to the bigger jets.

Also try to run good gas.

ring gap is gonna be your concern if wanting to spray a healthy shot.

Depends on the quality of the build and parts alone tell us little about that.

On a stock engine hell yeah it can be safe.

On a stroker with chinese parts and built by someone who sounds to have chosen displacement over head porting, I wouldn't try it. Then throw in the cam choice again another negative to my level of confidence.

If the heads are ported that is a positive bump in my confidence but seeing as you didn't state it up front and then didn't answer the question you are painting an unpleasant picture.

"nitrous cam" doesn't matter till a bigger shot, most folks seem to agree 250+ then you need to look at a "nitrous grind".

I have seen a few guys fail at coming up with "nitrous" cams for little 150-200 shots, hurt NA power enough to offset any potential gains on the jug.

You will get away with it right up till they break. This is a loaded question, you need to know what he gapped it at and what kind they are to even begin to get answers. If you are correct on the tune then I would think it would be possible.

You should be alright. Ive been running a 150 shot with progressive controller for over 2 years on a bolt on only lt1. So assuming your builder had half a brain you should be more than fine with 200 shot and right tune.

If your builder gapped the rings for 150 shot....... pretty easy to fill in the rest of that sentence.
