Default 2008 4.8 truck engine into 1959 chevy apache with nova subframe 68-74

Truck pan is sitting on the crossmember. Have D.D. mounts that mount on to the clam syle mount. what oil pan should i get that is not as deep in the front. Or do i need to cut the crossmember and channel it. PS i should let you know i need the engine to drop down at lest 3/4in to get the bolts to go threw the mounts. Any info will realy help thanks.

F body pan is the narrowest in front followed by the mast pan. You may need to raise the engine by adding a spacer below the mount on the frame or cut out a section of the crossmember.

+1 on the F-body pan. it has the best clearance on the front part of the pan as compared to all of the other OEM pans.

The best suggestion I can give you is to move the Frame mounts.. add spacer as needed (providing you have room to raise the engine/trans).

I would bolt the DD plates to the engine, Clam/engine mounts and frame stands all together. Then drop the engine in, add spacer if needed, mark the frame stands on the X-Member and be done with it....!

You might just need to enlarge the holes or wrose case, drill new ones.

To add to the problem the truck pan and the gm muscle car pans are going to hang way below your crossmember.

Just ordered the Autokraft oil pan looks to be the best one for fit.
