Default camshaft degreeing question (results show retarded 1 degree?)

I got the following results when degreeing my cam last night. I'm just curious if people would run it as is dot to dot, or if it's worth advancing it a tooth. Or if there's a margin of error that I'm close enough not to mess with it.

Comp Cams 4796 degree kit. Wheel shows 10* on each side of TDC indicating I'm dialed in at TDC:

gauge zeroed off the lobe:

indicator at max lift:

indicator zeroed at max lift:

.050" on the opening side:

degree wheel reading .050" on the opening side:

.050" on the closing side:

degree wheel reading .050" on the closing side:

my measurements indicate the cam is retarded 1*

100 + 126 = 226 / 2 = 113

the intake center line on the cam card is 112

basics specs on the cam are 226/238 115+3, so right now it's basically installed as 226/238 115+2?

Most adjustable gears are in 2 degree increments, so there isn't a whole lot you can do. 1 degree probably won't hurt anything, so I'd run it.

you'd lose a hair of low end and gain a smidge up top. your average person won't notice the difference.

As others have posted you will not see 1 degree. You asked about advancing one tooth, this will move it quite a number of degrees (just guessing without doing the math but I would say 8 or so).

One tooth off will be 360 divided by either the number of teeth on the small gear x 2 - or - the number of teeth on the large gear.

Thats good. I've seen cams of as much as 5 degree's before. Any slop in the timing chain?

Thanks for the info guys, I didn't know one tooth on a non-adjustable was that big a swing. Looks like it's setup pretty good.

The chain is a new katech c5r chain and it's nice and snug, it runs right against the dampner when rotating.
