Default another s480 camaro build

i would like to share my build with all you , first off i have had a bad start with the turbo build part of it as i was a victim of the ky-turbo scam alot of time and money went into that, but anyways im try to come back from it and do a more of a buget friendly setup aside to this a big help from TURBOJOE has stepped up and is willing to help me out.

motor/trans & rear
forged 370 shortblock:wiseco -11 pistons, callies rods, stock 6.0 crank
prc 2.5 5.3 heads
built th350
chance 4k stall
hybrid 8.8 rear
strange da front with 300lb springs and sa rears
bosch racing 127lb injectors

wheels/tires
weld rts 15/15
et streets radial 295 55 15
et fronts 8ply

turbo setup
s480 race cover t6 88/96
tial 50 bov
tial 44 gate
hot and cold side is being done by turbojoe@straightline he has not given me any hints yet where the turbo is gonna be but he said im gonna like it, we have talked about putting it where the battery was but i am always open to slick looking mounting locations, so we will see what he has planned for me

i will post more pictures and im sure turbojoe will also as he comes along with it.

car was previously a nitrous car with a close to stock bottom end 6.0 with 2.5 5.3 heads car went 10.5xs at 129 so hopefully im going in the right direction with the car

Sorry you were one of the ones affected by the KY turbo incident. Glad to see you're doing something with it, and a damn good setup it sounds like! Keep us all posted!

Hey bud! just wanted to say that im glad you picked us here @ straightline performance to get you all squared away! ALOT of people got screwed by josh and I am working my butt off to get that car back on the road!

Also to all, sheldon is my favorite kind of costumer!!! I worked with him to get him back on track with his build. He was trustworthy enough to take a blind chance after knowing what happened to him with KYTP. He also gave me a blank canvas to have fun with Pics shold be posted soon...ill let him do the pics

Why'd you step down the DP if it was going out the fender anyway? Is it going from 5 to 4in?

What A/R exhaust housing?

Love the 2 piece hot pipe with the V-bands and the modified exhaust manifolds. Very nice.

It's the 1.32 housing. Yes it's 5 to 4" and I think It was to have more clearance going under the frame rail, I think if it stayed at 5 it would have been close to the charge pipe and damn near drag on the ground under the frame rail

Yeah, it going to take a fun compound bend to get the charge pipe above the dp. Theres a Brace the bolts to the factory cruise control location to hold the Downpipe still that I have to get above also....I like the one a lot! It a very clean setup. Gotta get th Wastegate plumbing done next.

Cobrakiller....yes its 4in and thanks, I had a extra vband assembly from a vendor that wanted me to try out, and while mocking stuff up, that section was annoying to get on the brace so I put it there. The whole kit takes 3 minutes to install. Also thanks, but I hate manifolds with a passion! I make a set of headers for this set up that are10x stronger and full tube and in every way better then manifolds
