Installed Yank SS3800
Well to say the least I am friggin pumped, I love this thing! But I am kinda upset with you guys in not convincing me to go with a 4000 or 4200
To tell all the people that are interested in getting a converter and are worried about daily driveability? My answer to you is, I don't know what the f*** these guys are talking about with "looseness" the car feels perfectly stock to me? Just a few extra hundred RPMs to get it moving quickly (car still rolls at idle), and its a tad bit louder (I would say if you have an extremely loud exhuast you may want to get a different exhaust or put a resonator in) but overall it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside
Also gave the car to my girlfriend and she is pumped, she said my car sounds like a real muscle car now (I guess Corsa, and LT headers weren't good enough) but now the car sounds a little meaner when traveling through the streets.
Converter locks up at about 48mph, probably gonna get that adjusted to 40 though when I go back to Cartek to take care of P0757 Damn code made me think I lost 1st and 4th gear within 100 miles of the converter. But I called Dave at Cartek and he told me what it was so I disconnected the battery and all is good again, until I threw the code 100 miles later bought myself an 8mm ratcheting wrench from Sears, I love that thing, so easy to disconnect the battery.
Anyhow I would also like to throw in that I gained 25rwhp with the converter....but out of that 25rwhp I am gonna contribute -10 rwhp to the converter and +10 to the ported TB and +25rwhp to the excellent tuning of Cartek.
I almost blew my load when the guys at Cartek told me my car put down 333.3 rwhp and 344 rwtq
Very happy man here, just gotta get rid of that damn SES light now

Congrats man, it really is an amazing converter. I would have never imagined it to feel so tight with 2.73 gears. Good luck with getting it in this week....
Your pretty lucky, you shouldn't run into any P0757 codes since you have a 99
BTW, I am Rick James......Biatchhhhh

I bought my SY 3500 from TBYRNE. I LOVE mine. Daily drivablility isn't even an issue with me. I'm even continuing to get kick *** gas mileage out of it too. 18 MPG city and 20 MPG hwy with the air on. I've got Kooks headers, ORY, Hooker cat back and the converter. I'm not sure on what all I gained with my set up because I never dyno'd stock but now I got 332 RWHP and 374 RWTQ. I'm very happy with my car. It's a blast to drive, it sounds awesome, and it hauls *** for a daily driver NO complaints here!
