Default Recommend a stall....

Tq v3 cam, 3.73s 150shot. Ideas? This is not a daily driver. Just a weekend warrior and drag strip .

I personally like revmax stalls.

They are affordable and are reliable.

Brand or size? And are you just now installing the v3 with the stall?

I'd go 3600-4k stall for sure. I prefer revmax also. Too many get hung up on buying a 900$ stall thats more than capable of 700+hp which alot arent even close to. Nothing wrong with the "higher price/quality" stall though. Kinda like TSPs 525$ stainless longtubes vs kooks or arh 800$+ stainless longtubes. Same performance/fitment and both stainless.... but a 300+ price difference because of the name.

I just bought one of circle-d's new budget stalls for the wife's ~400hp trans-am. Can't argue with $400 and quality parts.

I also decided to with Torquer v3 cam too, My car is in the process of cam & stall swap at the moment, & will be going with a yank pt4000 stall converter & 373s, I think the 150 shot will be badass & as for converter go with 4000, youll love it!

i talked to the guys at both yank and fti and they both told me that the highest stall they recommend is a 3800(which may or may not stall higher to about 4200 depending on power) with a 100-200 shot.. i too want the biggest stall i can get that can still handle the nitrous...

I went with Revmax as well. Couldnt be happier. I had a 3200 in my LT1 car and it dropped me from a 13.7 to a 13.4. It was the only aftermarket mod. Bottom line is you cant go wrong with any sponsor on here. I went with revmax because of the price, now I will go with revmax because of the price, quality, and Customer service they provide.

I would've thought you would have dropped more than that. A 13.7 to 13.4 drop could be had with a driver mod...weather/track conditions...a good launch.. A 13.7 to 13 seems more like it...either way, you still netted gains

IDK. I cut a 1.99 60' on the 13.7 and a 1.92 60' on the 13.4. I was on crappy off brand street tires as well on both runs. Weather wise I really dont remember. I know it was Spring time for my stock pass of 13.7 and Summer for the 13.4.

I was super pleased. I had a 95 Lt1 with a 3200 stall as the only Aftermarket mod and I was running a 13.4 with a 1.9 60'! If I got a sticky tire and a 3.73 gear I would have ran a 12 more then likely. Not bad at all out of a stock LT1 car! 300.00 for 3/10s was pretty good in my book!

Maybe if it were a LS1 which has more power up top then LT1 I might have gained even more but my LT1 kinda died after 5k Rpms compared to my LS1!
