They claim 17/25 MPG and 0-60 4.6 sec.
Can't wait to see what the V offers!

If it's a DCT I would not have a problem with it.
...but lets be real, I don't make nearly enough money to even care about this for another 8 years, when they hit the used market in the 20's.

I know they haven't officially said there's going to actually be an ATS-V, but I'd sure like to see a tweaked variant of this motor in one. Tweaked, say, to about 450 hp.

i think for the new cts-v when it comes out we are going to see some serious hp numbers maybe an lt1 based twin turbo motor ? ? ? that seems to be the trend especially with the e63 being such a powerhouse, but i would love to see cadillac work on the interior more the stock power level is pretty substantial, if the style of interior in the c7 made its way into a cts-v that would be BADASS... as far as the ATS-V i highly doubt we will see an LT1 in there just because of what kind of cars its going up against, all boosted. Plus with boost from the factory it makes it so easy to buy go fast mods.

thats a whole lot of TQ going to a transfer-case. non the less it would be cool to see, im hoping that turbo charging catches on in the GM sector some large bore V8s with turbo's could only mean fun, superchargers are cool to ive just always been a turbo fan,

I am not worried about how the 8 speed auto handles the power more or less id miss the feeling of slamming the gears and the feeling of the clutch etc thats what i would miss

Here is some info I read yesterday about the vehicle's specs.
"The new engine is a comprehensive upgrade on the 60-degree, 3.6L DOHC V-6 offered in today’s SRX, XTS and ATS. However, almost every component is unique. New features include:
All-new cylinder block casting
All-new cylinder head castings
Strengthened connecting rods
Machined, domed aluminum pistons with top steel ring carrier for greater strength
10.2:1 compression ratio
Patented, integrated charge air cooler system with low-volume air ducts
Two turbochargers produce more than 12 pounds of boost (80 kPa)
Vacuum-actuated wastegates with electronic control valves
All-new direct injection fuel system
Tuned air inlet and outlet resonators, aluminum cam covers and other features that contribute to exceptional quietness and smoothness."
And it will have a strong forged steel crankshaft!
