Default Curious to y'all's opinion

2012 camaro ss
L99/6l80

I am going to delete vvt/dod to make it an actual ls3

I'v been set on heads custom spec cam and full bolt ons and stall and spraying a 200+ shot. Iv already got the nitrous kit actually 2 of em lol.

But I can get a d1 procharger for 3500 brand new thru a buddy and then do cam full bolt on and stall.

If it was y'all's car what would you do.

I work on the road for 5-6 months in one place and usually have to drive 1000-2000 miles back home

I converted an LY6 (VVT) motor over to a standard cam for my project. Much easier to tune and many more cam option out there over the vvt offerings.

Ever think of turbo? Either way forced induction is my vote! Get rid of that nitrous and have power on demand anytime you want it. (Really just depends on how deep your pockets are)

Iv considered turbo also. Just seems front mounts are a pain for 5th gen camaro. And I'm not a fan of rear mounts. My mind is open for sure.

Not trying to spin your head any more than it already is, but I really like the TVS blowers on the heavy 5th gen pigs A 2300 and a set of headers makes for a really fun, reliable daily driver.

I'm stuck on either a procharger or vortec Ysi trim blower. I'm gonna call around about turbo kits today at work cause its too cold here in Montana for this okie boy to go outside lol.

Variable valve timing utilizes a hydraulically actuated phaser integrated into the cam gear. The engine management computer and cam position sensor communicate with each other and send instructions to an electric solenoid mounted inside the timing cover. The solenoid then presses on a hydraulic valve bolted into the nose of the cam, which manipulates oil flow into the phaser assembly to advance or retard the cam.

Well thru a lot of reading and alot of thinking and watching my wallet cry I think iv decided on what the plan is. I'm gonna sell my l99 with heads and buy a tsp ls3 416 and have tsp work over my other ls3s I have. Gonna put a F1-r procharger and 1320 is rebuilding my 6l80. Gonna put a aeromotive a1000 intank stealth fuel pump. Haven't decided on rear end just yet. And ill put sub frame connectors etc for suspension. Gonna cost quite a bit but I think I'm gonna be happy with the end result. My goal is 900rwhp.. If anything I mentioned is wrongly put or whatnot I would appreciate the constructive critism and help in the build. If all goes well the car will be done in the next 3-4 months. I have full expectations to be at tx2k14. Also will be running a water methanol system.

Ditch the VVT, go to Standard.

From what I've seen, pretty much every platform and tuner agrees on that.
