New gal from VA
Hello all,
I have used this forum in the past and it has been a great resource. I just finally decided to join up. I have a 1999 Trans Am Firehawk with 72K on the odometer that I picked up this January. I have owned many cars from STi's to modded 03 Cobras but I decided to come back to my roots. I had a brand new 02 SOM Firebird (V6) and I still miss that car to this day.
I bought the hawk in stock form but have done full exhaust, lid, strano springs, torque arm installed, and had it tuned and dynoed by my husband (he owned Excessive Motorsport). It put down 330rwhp (i forgot the torque number lol). He is going to put on the ls6 intake and port the TB soon.
Sorry for the long post but just thought I'd say hi!

I just attempted to attach some pictures of the car. I hope the pics show up. I just ordered some dd chrome c5 wheels 18x9.5/10.5 and got some 315 toyo drag radials so once they are on the car I will get some better pictures.

Here are some crappy pics of my husband's cobra for what it's worth lol. It has an MMR 950 forged motor, stage III heads, T-trim, tremec TKO 600, built IRS rear with level 5 axles, Fiskes, etc etc. It's a neat car for sure.

I'm in winchester. I have heard of excessive but thought it was primarily a mustang shop so I never looked into it. Nice to see at least one of you has taste lol.

Hi Doug, I've been good. I heard you have a notch with an 03 motor in it. Very cool!
Yeah, Excessive is no longer open. We were going to have to move locations since the building owner needed our half of the building to expand his business. Chris had been at that location for 10 years but had owned the company for 19 yrs. After looking into moving our shop, it was more worth it to work for someone else instead of move everything and up root. He still does mostly mustangs but has done work on f-bodies, corvettes, and pretty much anything really. We are at iMA Motorsport now in Chantilly VA.
