Is my fuel system adequate for E85 and 750rwhp?
Hey guys I may go pump/meth or full E85... The simplest solution is the way ill go as I am tight on budget...
Here's the new set up:
5.3L or 4.8L bone stock short block
ARP head studs
Factory 317's
T56
Comp 76mm T4 billet wheel 0.96AR
LS6 intake
Etc...
Fuel system:
Dual aeromotive stealth in-tank 340lph running to a -6AN Y-block and then a single -6AN hose to the front to an Aeromotive 1:1 FPR..
Then -6AN out of the FPR and to a factory LS1 fuel rail...
80lb seimens injectors
And then a -6AN out of the FPR and back to the tank for the return.
How much power will this set up make on
100% E85?
750whp hopefully? More?
I'm trying to figure this out so I know which motor I should go with... Help!

I can't comment on the pumps because we've never ran those, but that line will be good to well over 850rwhp, we've dyno proven that size line works fine at 850rwhp on e85, and had a few cars in the 900+ range(just no dyno numbers), the line size won't be an issue. 80lb injectors will work fine also.

The line will support his power needs, but will be a significant restiction to the dual 340 pumps. Any line restriction adds more backpressure to the pumps increasing the work they have to do. For example, when you have 10psi line restriction & 58psi fuel pressure, you are requiring the pumps to work against 68psi of pressure. This increases their work, power consumption & heat produced. If you heard about a number of 340lph pump failures, it has a lot to do about the system being able to flow the the required amount without overloading the pump. It is not about what you can get away with, but what is a correct approch to a proper design. If you want some interesting info, put a gauge at the rear & compare to pressure at the engine.

Then he can switch to walbros 255's, we've done the small line and 2 walbros at 800rwhp is where they run out with an auto. I don't see a reason to redo his entire fuel system when the lines will work perfectly fine at his power. I'm not talking numbers, calculations, or anything, I'm talking REAL WORLD results on several cars.

Stage the pumps so only one runs until boost comes in. I also don't see how ppl are getting 750+rwhp out of 80lb siemens injectors unless it's happy dynojets. I regularaly max them out ~600rwhp on mine running e85 with a lambda of .78-.80 running 58psi base with boost reference.
I guess you could always crank the fuel pressure up but normally don't like doing that for pump strain/flow and heat.

We run 68 base plus boost, mph shows the power is correct, we've done this on multiple setups. We do run 100% or more duty cycle(never hurt an injector or pump or anything doing this for years).
Few examples:
2600lbs 168mph
4050lbs 144mph(even in 95 degree heat, horrible DA)
3300lbs 152mph (footbrake with soft pass)
2960lbs 125 1/8th mph

How are you getting your walbros 255 to not drop off fuel pressure at such high pressure?
My dual walbros won't flow more than 60psi under WOT even with high base pressure and a 1;1 regulator.
