Default Clear fogs & side markers GROUP BUY is happening right now

Hey guys. Just a note to anyone who might not spend much time over at Caddy Fourms... There's a GB happening for clear fogs and sides which can save you $50 from the vendor's advertised prices, and it only needs 3 more people to get off the ground. I'm not sure I'm allowed to link to the thread, but it's over there in the "appearance mods" section and is titled "eBay - CLEAR FOGS". Just a heads up!

If they're the same ones I got, I love em. They work 100x better than the home made clears because the light actually gets diffused . . .

The light does get diffused but they still look cloudy and like poo IMO, something they put on cars in the late 90's before Y2K lol. All they did is take the yellow cloudy a$$ lens and made a white cloudy one. If I drive in fog twice a year that would be an overstatement, and you have low beams for that ( has worked for people for decades in the past). Nothing beats the look of the home made clear lenses that allow you to see the shiny chrome interior of the light. Also when you turn your headlight on at night, the running fogs turn off anyway unless you manually turn them on (when people do this I ask why?) If you have that hard of a time seeing you shouldn't drive.

All in all Looks---->hands down the home made clears
Functionality---->Ebay fogs you are talking about
Price---- Homemade $16 lexan strip, $4 2min epoxy, $10 clips (if you don't have them already)=20-30 bucks ( It does take time to do this but actual work required is minimal, hardest part is cutting the lexan)

Obviously it all depends on the eye of the beholder, because I completely disagree with you. Haha I think that clear lexan looks terrible on the car. The "older" style diffused look suits the car far better than the lexan. Just my opinion tho.

Anyway - still lookin for 3 more participants to save everyone $50. $250 shipped for fogs & sides, $225 for fogs only.

I agree to each his own...my point was simply price and the fact that I don't know of any luxury car that uses "foggy" lights in existence after the earlier part of last decade. And just like you said "the old style" <----when it comes to semi new cars this is what I run from. Keeping things old IMO only pertains to the old school muscle cars. Here is an example of the era we did headlights just like this lol
http://www.ebay.com/itm/87-88-DEVILLE-L-HEADLIGHT-/400431947307?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ACadillac&hash=item5d3b9a9e2b&vxp=mtr

But then again I also am going to be buying the led tails which I'm sure most hate...To me if the new V has them why not put them on ours...same reasoning for the clear fogs

Regardless good luck with the group buy! I always give props to people that can make this happen to save our community some money!

Sure, the lexan looks great, but it's output is useless.

Just a heads up to anyone watching ... The group buy is a go, as 15 people have confirmed. If you'd like to jump in on the deal, you can make your order by Friday. Instructions are posted over at caddy forums.
