Which deep pans are you guys running, im thinking about getting one and just wanted some feed back on which one to get. And also for those that are running a deep pan, are you a guys running a deep pan filter kit or just a standard filter kit?

People that have tried pans with 2+ quarts find they hang too low on F-body (and other cars) and hit things, potentially catastrophically.
A stock truck pan adds 1 quart and helps quite a bit with temps and slippage (pump sucking air) during hard acceleration; it also adds a convenient drain plug.
I found one vendor on ebay that sells an aluminum "deep" plan which adds 1 quart.
You just use a "deep" truck filter with these 1+ quart pans; no extender needed.
IMO, I would avoid any chrome plated oil pans - over time the chrome flakes off and the pan then leaks.

"GM 700R4 Polished Aluminum Transmission Pan Deep 4L60E 4L65E"
It is currently $59.95 with free shipping. This was the ONLY ebay seller I found with the deep pan; everyone else is selling a similar-looking but standard capacity pan for around $40; I first bought a standard pan due to a deceptive description.

Sorry, I do not know the GM part #. You could ask for the filter for a 2007 Trailblazer SS. Basically there are Vette, Shallow and Deep filters for the 4L60E; any local trans shop should have a bunch of them; just ask for the deep truck one.
When you install the pan, you will notice that the pan will firmly push up on the plastic spacers on the filter. If there appears to be a gap between the filter and pan, you might have the wrong filter.
Maybe I'm paranoid or just plain wrong, but one thing I didn't like with either aluminum pan I bought on ebay was the gasket. Both came with a soft rubber gasket that looks like it could get squeezed out. I always use a firm black fiber gasket. I tighten to 9 ft/lbs; note that these cast aluminum pans are supplied with allen-wrench bolts (5 or 6mm).
If you want to go mail order, here is the filter:

Here is the fiber gasket:

Good info here. The best stuff (from me of course!) is in posts 17, 20 & 21.
Not noted, the Derale cooling pans use the standard depth filters. On my (two) Firebirds, I never hit the pans on the ground.
