Default Oil Pressure after H/C

Alright guys so I have a 97 z28. I recently completed an engine rebuild. While I had it apart I installed a cc503 cam, supporting valve train, LE1 heads, 36# FAST injectors, and a tune. Before the build I had no problems with oil pressure. Afterwards, it's flooding like a mother effer. On cold starts it holds 40psi, until it warms up, after that I have around 20psi while driving, and pretty damn close to the red line when in park. The first time I changed the oil it was full of gas. Since then I've changed the oil 3 times and it seems like there is less gas in the oil everytime, but it's still enough to cause a fuel smell and thinning out my oil enough to where I don't have the correct oil pressure. I've checked FPR, and leaky injectors, oil pressure sensor on the intake. Any ideas on what it could be, I'm tired of chasing this problem!

I would double check the tune. If it is dumping enough fuel to fill the oil I would definitely quit driving it. Unless you want to replace bearings.

Does it smell rich when it's idling? I hope you don't have rings not sealing on a new rebuild.

if it is overfueling that bad the cylinders could already be wiped.
Did you do something foolish like neglect to hook the vacuum reference for the regulator back up? Guys have lost engines to that mistake before.
How about the tune, just because you paid for a tune doesn't mean it was done right.
Did you verify the received injectors were the size you told the tuner?

I forgot to mention it was doing this before the tune, so I've ruled that out. Everything was hooked up correctly before the initial startup also

If you ran it untuned then that could have been when your cylinder wipe happened. depending on how long you ran it that way you could have caused some big damage.

So you ran the car with 36# injectors without tuning for them first? How long? I'm kind of surprised it ran with that much extra fuel. If this is what you did, it sounds like it is time to hone it and ring it at minimum.

Yeah running a larger injector where the PCM has not been tuned for it is a real bad thing. Don't run the engine any more until you can get it tuned, or put the stock ones back in. Honestly, IMO the stockers should be about all you need for that setup. Do a compression check/leakdown as well to see if your cylinders haven't been washed out.

that much extra fuel can actually detonate rather than just wash out the cylinder.

Didn't drive the car or anything before the tune, it was running maybe 10 minutes total before the tune.

idling with 50% too much fuel can hurt stuff. At this point almost expect you ruined the engine. I hope you find something more simple but.......................

If something internal was bad, wouldn't it always have low oil pressure though? If I start it, it was hold a steady 35-40psi until it warms up

do not drive it till you get the fuel in the oil thing fixed regardless of what it is.....fuel in bearings is not good not to mention your washing down the walls and you will possibly start to encounter ring issues.......the low oil pressure is more than likely from the viscosity of the oil being reduced from all the fuel in the oil....fix it before you are ripping the whole motor apart
