Default 5.3 swap with 23x-24x camshaft HIGH idle

I'm very new to tuning with hptuners but I have done several swaps in the past. The car I'm having issues with is a notch mustang with a 2000 5.3 that has a .600 lift 23x-24x camshaft. I have tried a couple how-to's on here and on the HP tuners forum but the car always wants to start and run at 2200 rpm then the iac count goes to 0 and it idles around 1400 rpm. I can see it doesn't have enough timing and is real rich. I thought it had a bad vacuum leak but I've tried a couple intakes, gaskets, throttle bodies and it still idles high.
I haven't figured out how to attach the log and the tune.
I have them in my email ready to send to anyone who can possibly help me out.
Thanks

If it's idling that high, and the IAC counts are at zero, you are getting air from somewhere. Either a vacuum leak or the throttle blade is open too far. Either way, it's getting too much air. It's not tune related if the IAC is at zero.

Find someone with a smoke machine.

I'll see what i can come up with tonight. If i cover the throttle body the engine will stall and die.

Sounds like the blade is open too far, or the hole in it is too big.

The two throttle bodies I have tried are the stock 5.3 which has a really small hole and the other is a 6.0, it has a little bigger hole in it. I'll try to close the throttle blade some and see what happens.
Thanks

Put a small piece of tape over the hole just to test.

It has a cable throttle body and you can adjust it using the stop screw.
It is inverted and has a torx head but it can be done. Turn it to allow the blade to close a little more and test.
Don't go too far because the blade will begin to stick

Thanks for all the help! It's greatly appreciated. The problem turned out to be the two "high" wires for the iac got switched during the wiring process. I was able to just switch the pins in the ecm. It fired right up and idles exactly like it should!
Now on to tuning the rest of it.
