Default E-85 vs 92 and meth am I leaving much on the table?

Aiming to max 80's injectors on gas. If I do e85 it will be getting more injector

I'm in on this one too. I'm just getting ready to switch from 91 and meth to e85. I won't have any numbers for a couple of weeks at least.

You should see more gains on the E85 over the 92oct with Meth. You sure will need bigger injectors.

I'm in the same dilemma man, but I don't have a meth kit. I've got a 370 with f1a, Lonnie's dual intank and 95lb injectors. I don't even think I'll have my current setup covered on e85.

I dont see you leaving much on the table. Not having to worry about testing E85, and 30% decrease in gas mileage will be worth it alone.

If you can live with the cons of e85 then the pro's to it are outstanding. However with that said you'll need more injector and possibly better pumps depending on what you have and your goals. I maxed out 95lbers on e85 at only 15psi. Will be upping to 1600 or 2000's along with better pumps and shoot for 20psi.

I've only seen one back to back comparison and that was from a magazine. I take what that print with a grain of salt. They had a roots on a 5.3 and it picked up close to 100ft/lbs below peak torque and 60 plus horsepower for the entire pull over pump gas. I would like to see a back to back. Pump gas to E85 comparison. I'm currently running 91 octane with 50/50 water/meth at 14lbs of boost and my car made the most power with 15* of timing. I see E85 guys running more than that at 20lbs not to mention it gives you a much broader tuning window.

with 100% meth you can run alot more timing. Most times your adding timing to get the power back up with a higher octain rated fuel.

My car makes just under 1000 to the tire through a T400 and yesterday ran 8.4 at 166mph with alot left on the table. That is 93 octain and meth.

How many nozzles are you spraying and how big are they? I'm spraying a 10 and a 3 right now with windshield washer fluid.

I personally run Twin 14gph nozzles, with 100% meth it changed my AFR by 2 full points. I run a 50/50 mix now for my twin screw.
E85 is around 104-105 octane and to be honest 93/meth would have a higher octane rating and be better at cooling (mainly in part b/c of meth). Another thing about E85 on older PCMs prior to the Gen IV OS's that have flex fuel built in is you can only command 1 type of stoich ratio. E85 blends change throughout the year and even pump to pump, in the winter it usually is less ethanol and its around E70. Unless you tune your own vehicle fueling calcuations won't be 100% correct all the time.
