Default GM Releases Detailed Walkaround of the Updated 2014 Camaro

2014 Chevy Camaro SS gets video walkaround

By Steven J. Ewing
Posted Apr 12th 2013 4:57PM

The new 2014 Camaro Z/28 may have been Chevrolet's little attention getter during the 2013 New York Auto Show late last month, but we mustn't forget that the rest of the Camaro range also received some pretty substantial updates for the new model year. So for those of you who might not have had the chance to soak in all of the 2014 Camaro SS' goodness, Chevrolet has released this video, in which Camaro marketing manager John Fitzpatrick gives us a proper walkaround of the refreshed coupe.

Fitzpatrick says that with the update, Chevrolet wanted to better differentiate between the V6 and V8 models, as well as giving the RS package a little more flair. Here, he shows us a number of features on a red SS RS coupe, including things like the revised front fascia with functional foglamps and the newly designed rear deck with the RS' exclusive LED taillamps.

very nice, subtle upgrades. taillights might not appeal to everyone though.

i like that hood over its old design. i always think on camaros they should have some type of functional design that aids in cooling and looks good.

Oh man....I really wished this car appealed to me, but its going no where. Except for the ZL1 (just for the performance) the rest look like over weight cows, no offense to new Camaro owners. I wish for a more compact, sleeker car. And those tailights are just horrible, a bad copy of the Audi style (BTW Audi is really putting out some badass cars).

Why does that link say Non-RS isn't that just the V6 car? Either way the V6 front upgrade looks a tad boring the grille is cheap and the fogs are way to small. Also notice the hood has no vent and is not as wide as the SS version.

6th gen is (hopefully) what we're waiting for. Should be smaller and a lighter.

The tail lights are more a throw back to some prior year Chevy lights I think. That's what came to mind to me at first anyway.

And if you gave me an Audi I'd only keep it if it had a warranty. No warranty = goodbye, don't want to deal with their electronics or other ridiculous maintenance stuff!

I hate the hood. The vent is too small for a single and just looks out of place to me. Rather see some duals like the first gens had or just a cowl looking hood or something.

Not sure why it took so long to offer Rencaro seats in the SS, but that is a welcome upgrade. I'm still waiting to see the 6th Gen though. A lighter, smaller car with the new LT1 power will be nice.
