My first thought was of a sting ray. I'm not sure how I feel about it tho.

I am curious how you replicated the firehawk heat extractors.

i have a fiberglass shop. i fix boats and jetskis. i used gelcoat and resin to make a convex mold and then reversed the process. was originally gonna have 4 extractors per side but this was extreme enough. i am going to make a full wide body kit for this car and im trying to get ideas. im normally an fbody guy so i revert to this design by instinct i guess. literally have owned a dozen fbodies

heat extractors are ok... but I don't like the "nostrils" where they are.. If the nostrils were further forward, like at the very front of the hood, it might not be so bad. Otherwise, looks like you put some good time and effort into it, for that I say nice job!

no heat extractors
move nostrals forward to tip of hood
lower profile of openings

i think if you went with the ws6 style openings of the 93-97 style hood it would look better.

great craftsmanship though
and thinking outside the box

While the work looks amazing I am not a fan of the design. I don't feel like it flows with the body lines of the car.

I agree with no extractors and moving the nostrils more forward. I would like to add though that I think it would look better if it didn't have that upramp then down swoop right in front of the nostrils as well. Just make them flush and moved more forward and I think it would look awesome!

I think it looks great and even before I read the other posts I would agree with the nostrils farther foward. definently want to see some mesh/screen for the back of the openings! keep up the work, Want to see the widebody kit for sure.

I agree with most people here. The work looks great, but i think its too much going on. A c5 vette is more subtle and the hood just doesnt flow with the rest of the car.

Maybe if it was 1 nostril, smaller and wider, and fewer extractors. It might blend in a bit more.

EDIT: try it out with a mesh to cover the nostrils a bit.

I think if the whole car were styled more aggresively, it would work. IE, front splitter, big rims, etc.
