Default Haven't changed coolant in 10 years - What could I be looking at?

So, I will start off by saying I have completely dropped the ball here. Please save the what an idiot posts and things like that. I know I screwed up. Having said that, I am getting my car out of storage in about 2 weeks and am wanting to know what I could potentially have done to the car by not doing this change/flush for so long. Car has 60k miles on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am no expert but it does not seem like too big of a deal to me. Specially with such a low milage car.

Considering that DEXCOOL is an extended life coolant, I can't imagine you'll have to do anything more than a normal flush & fill. You'll also want to take a look for signs that the factory power steering cooler has failed which would mean PS fluid is leaking into the coolant.

You did your cam swap in 2003 before you joined this site?

As long as the coolant level has been maintained (no leaks) and you've never overheated the car, the coolant shouldn't be that bad. Just drain, flush, and fill.

No, cam swap was done in 2006 or 2007 I believe. He obviously had to drain and re-fill then, but i *think* the same fluid was used, so no real cleaning was done per say.

I agree with the others, flush with a good coolant flush like prestone super flush, then flush out with distilled water and refill with 50/50 dex cool mix ( you can buy pre-mixed)...

Worst case you might have to throw in a new radiator if there is a **** ton of dexcool mud in there. I had to replace a radiator on a previous car since the owner either used stop a leak or mixed coolants etc...in any event it was a ******* mess, and there was no way I was leaving that radiator in there. I also ended up pulling water pump to inspect and clean as much as possible.

When I replaced my radiator and water pump I used Rotella ELC antifreeze.
