2002 ss, a4
I had a couple questions regarding parts to add to my '02 SS...
Some information:
It's automatic
Engine is stock (to my knowledge)
Gear ratio changed from 3:23 to 3:42,
MAF from MBA (don't necessarily know the size, came with the car when I bought it last year)
SLP LM2 Catback
Any tips?
Information regarding manufacturers? I don't know who makes the best headers, etc.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
I'm not very auto savvy yet, but I'm getting there.

Well I guess that depends on your budget, how much you drive, etc... How much do you want to spend for starters, and what kind of expectations and power would you like to have?

But then the rest of your list I agree with, and a Mail Order Tune (not needed, but definately helps out a whole lot)

I would NOT stall a DD. This is my experience. I have a 2002 SS stock, and its my DD, however before I got it My Z28 has a high stall, and it's a bitch to drive daily.

what kind of daily driver is it,city only, freeway, distance traveling ?
My initial response(without knowing any other details) would be 3600-4000 stall and 3.73 gears.
Improve the suspension for handling and traction but don't know what you can tolerate with increased noise and ride stiffness.

If you want to lose MPG on your city driving by a lot, then yes. Personally on my Street/Strip car I don't care about MPG. Your car will rev to 2000-2400 before rolling under normal throttle, or if you want to wake it up with a stock setup, and you're bound to get a stall, then give it 2200-2800 stall.

My `99 was a daily driver, IMO you must add supporting mods along with the converter: a good aux transmission cooler, and tune the line pressures and shift times in the PCM or add a shift kit when having the converter installed. My car had a lid and catback when the converter was added. It's not the cheapest mod but it IS the biggest bang for buck in an A4; like drop almost a full second off your ET type mod (with traction).
OP another mod, that's cheaper but effective, is get a lid if your car doesn't already have one. It may already have one if the previous owner put a LM2 catback on already. I'd also go back to stock on the MAF unless you're going to get it tuned.
Tip: read these forums and do searches, almost everything has been covered on these cars for the past 10+ years. Then decide what you want and make a plan.
