Default How and Where to buy FE4 steering rack

Driving my car i noticed a minor clunk over pot holes, i also noticed fluid on my steering boots both sides not bad but noticable, i jacked the car up and check for play side to side and found a good amount of play. I searched for steering racks and have found them for 180-300 my door tag says i need a FE4 steering rack i guess they sell different options. Where can i find a good one for a good deal my car is a 99 ss also how hard to install is it?

I just received my rack last week. I haven't installed it yet, I'm planning on getting it in there sometime this week. From the looks of the rack it seems to e quality but won't know till I get it in to see how it operates.

Pm me for details

Jason

I knew where to get the reference threads as I've been watching the topic for quite a while now. For 2 years now, fluid has been weeping, and getting worse. I got the rack from rackdoctor 2 weeks ago and attacked the car yesterday. 2 weeks ago.the pressure line from the pump started spraying, that's what I worked on yesterday. Pressure line is 18mm at the rack and 5/8" at the pump and got that line loose. I need a pulley puller to remove the pulley to access the pump bolts.the rack I'll attack after the line is replaced.
