Default P1416 Code and Noise

I'm throwing a P1416 code. I have a 2002 Camaro SS, A4, 100% Stock all the way down to the paper air filter. The noise sounds like a small exhaust leak/putting sound, but it's not coming from after the manifolds/cats/on back. It's coming from somewhere on the Stock AIR system. I believe the code is a AIR leak.

My Question.

I bought block off plates. I know the putting sounds will go away after that. Will block off plates solve the code being thrown? If not how would I fix it?

The plates will make the light stay on, Just have it tuned for lack of air pump then. It will make it run rich until the air system is repaired or tuned to not have it

As above poster said, you will need to find someone that has the tuning software for a ls1 and can delete this code for you. I think any performance shop in your area that does LSX work should be able to do this for you for under $150. I would also tune out EGR and rear O2 sensors at the same time. Then you can completely remove AIR and EGR systems out of your car. Will clean up your engine bay a lot.
