Too may unknowns. The mileage is meaningless if racked up 1/4 mile at a time. I'm sure you have read about heavily modded cars not bringing any value over guide book pricing. This car probably falls in the same category unless you know it to be special in some regard, like a one owner older guy that wanted a great car for shows or cruising, and never abused it. Is that the case with this car??

Cars never been abused.. It's an older guys car who took it out on Sundays but is retiring to fl and he has no problems with it besides it being loud. So your saying its not worth any more than book value?

Well, that sounds like a special car to me if all is accurate. Paying extra for mods isn't done much anymore, as I stated before, but perhaps you have found that rare gem. If you love the car and feel comfortable with everything explained to you, I would feel fine paying an extra $1,000 or $2,000 over book. Look up NADA or KBB. This would be a very unusual circumstance and totally up to you. Best of luck!!

Thank you very much for your input. He Is asking 2 over book price and you can tell its his baby and he took outstanding care of the car. Just didn't want to hurt myself getting the car.

In this case, from what you describe, I don't think you would get hurt, especially if you keep the car a long time and really appreciate the mods he has installed. Again, best of luck! I hope it works out.

I have been keeping my eye out for others, gone to see about 5 others and none of them ever compare to how clean and nice it was. I just didnt want to be paying that much for a 98.But I guess you pay for what your looking for.. So I may pick it up this weekend,I had a guy fall through with the agreement we had for a 2000 ws6 with 60,000. And the rest dont drive, feel, sound, look 100%. I just need somones opinion eveyone here says 11 the most and he wants 11,400 will not budge.

If you really want that car, don't let $400 stop you. It is too small an amount to deny yourself the car.
