Default LS2 Fast 92 or 102 mm

Anybody put one on there car before they did a cam? Was it worth 800 dollars over the ls2 intake?

I don't have any personal experience but I read a thread on a Corvette forum showing a 17hp gain going from a ported LS2 intake to a ported FAST 92 intake (only change). It would be fair to assume that going from an uncut LS2 to a FAST would be about the same and from an uncut LS2 to a ported FAST would be somewhat larger. Do you think you could feel 17hp? Within your answer to that question lies the answer that will provide you insight into whether it would be worth it to you.

This might provide a decent idea, though this is a LS6 not an LS2.

GREEN – Bone stock Factory Car Run
RED – TUNE only – goal was 20 rwhp from a tune only (close)
BLUE – 92mm Fast intake / Ported 90mm throttle / 160° stat / Trash Can intake – re-tuned.

You will see 4900rpm and on, the FAST provides more tq/hp.

With stock cam, you won't see a big gain. You will need to to feed air demands of a bigger cam, though.

Someone on here did a headers / fast 102 install and dyno and doin it didn't gain much, and lost a bit down low.

If you are sticking with an LS2 with stock heads and cam, porting the LS2 intake can provide a good jump especially if coupled with a ported throttle body (mostly improves throttle response and driveability) and a quality OTRCAI system which all told, would probably cost less than a new FAST. A whole lot less if you do the porting yourself (it isn't that tough to do).

Id only do a FAST intake if it will be a heads/cam car down the road.

Or if it was head/cam already. You would really feel the heads/cam combo over just a FAST intake

LS6 outflows an LS2 even with the smaller throttle body opening. I don't think a ported LS2 can match a stock LS6. The LS2 intake is really that bad.

102 is a newer, better design.
