Default Whats My Car Worth?

I have a Barbados Blue 04 GTO with 37k miles. Mav Man CF wing, CF SAPs, CF console lid and CF gas door. LS7 clutch, drag bags, drilled/slotted rotors w ceramic pads, billet GMM shifter, underdrive pulleys, K&N FIPK, Speed Density tune, ported stock heads, big Comp Cams cam in it, Stainless Works full exhaust (stainless long tubes and 3" true duals), put down 425 rwhp. Has M6 wheels and stock wheels with brand new toyos and MT DRs. Car is in excellent condition and always garage kept/covered. Lookin to sell it and my sea-doo jet boat soon to get a viper. Just wondering what I can expect to expect to get out of it. Thanks in advance.

Hard to say with a modded car. That is a plus for some and a big turn off for others. I'd say $13,500 would sound reasonable for a private sale.

I'd say just a little bit more. He has one of the rarest colors. 14-15k

It is definitely a rate color and i personally love it myself but in my opinion color doesnt play a big factor in raising the value. Top book value is &14,500 and in this market and economy i think 13k to 13,500 might be more likely. You also have to keep in mind a buyer may need financing and that can change things too

I see a lot of local 04s on lots asking 18k that sit there for months and months (and theyre all stock). The 05/06s with more miles seem to be bringing 15/16k on used lots that Ive seen. I have been trying to watch the forums but theres not any close enough to judge. Im not sure if location has anything to do with it or not. It seems I see 04 common color stockish cars going for 12k and very heavily modded low mileage cars for up to 18k. I wouldn't take less than 16 for it. I may have to sit on it for a while, but its way too nice of a car to let go for less. To me the GTO is a very refined car compared to my Trans Am. It rides so much smoother and the build quality is 10x better. But it just doesn't have that raw feel I want. Thanks for all the input

Won't see anywhere north of 15K, but it sounds very clean.

Its a nice ride. I paid 14 for mine from a dealer, but I think I was at the absolute top of what I should pay. Mine also had 40k more miles, but no mods.

I would list it in all of your ads for 18 and see what offers come your way. I think you can at least get 14 for it.

Just my oppinion.

Do you have a non CF gas cap and console lid? Is it a Billet or a GMM shifter (they are different). How many pulley(s) are underdrive?

Love that color, good luck selling it.

Modifications don't make the car worth more. Cars are not investments, we just spend money on the anyway haha. But I would say around 14-15k as well on the high end seeing the prices of GTOs lately.

This,
Plus remember it IS still an 04 so it has the smaller engine and that too can be a turn off. I would say 13.5 is a pretty solid number to be honest too. There is a kid at my job who is toying the idea of buying my car,but like in your case for what I have in it vs. what its worth...its just not worth the trouble. If a viper is really on your "to do" list,I say sell it for a solid number and sell the aftermarket parts seperate if you can.

Sorry its taken me so long to respond. I do HVAC work and Ive been on call doing 14 hr days. Its a billet shifter. I do still have the stock gas door, the stock console and every single stock part off the car including the spark plug wires and full exhaust. It has one underdrive pulley. I don't want to take anything off the car to sell it. Id let it go with the car to let the new owner to install if they ever wanted it to go back to stock. I look on craigslist around here and it amazes what some people ask for their 100k mile stock 04 cars. I don't expect to get near that out of mine and from the looks of it they aren't getting that out of theirs thankfully. Thanks for all of the input. I think Im gonna wait until next Spring to sell it after Ive payed down a few bills.

I say 10-14k mods don't mean nothing when somebody buys your car. You put money into it you will never get back.
