Default 1st time out 370 PT88 th400

Took my 79 camaro to track last night for some low boost test runs. Was pretty happy with how it ran. All runs were off transbrake @3600 RPM

370 forged 9.0 compression
ls6 cam
stock 241 heads
edlebrock proflow
pt88 no intercooler, single water nozzle just b4 throttle body

th400
PTC 9.5 converter

9"
3.5 gear

28x10.5 slick

1st pass ever left at 5-6psi slowly ramped boost up to 9

I screwed up shifting on 2nd pass was like a 10.45

last pass of the night, left at 5-6psi no ramp 10psi as fast as it could build it

Very nice!
A well sorted car, good numbers and you are just getting going.
You have to be satisfied.

Your videos are unavailable BTW.

Have not weighed it with this combo. Last season it was 2900 with me. But I've switched from alum to iron block plus the added weight of the turbo. So I'm guessing its in 3100-3200 range now.

Dang nice runs! Hope my car can 60ft like that, I added the CompEgn bars. My car is a lot heavy than yours 1981TTA. Can you give me the rear wheel size, and backspacing? Look like you got a wide rim, has the car been cut? Your car leave straight, and not all crazy! Love it!

the rear wheels are 15x10 with 4.5 backspace. They actually stick out a bit more than I'd like, I would have rather had 5 or even 5.5 backspacing but they were not available on these wheels. The car isn't tubed or anything, stock wheel wells just with the rear seat-belt bulges cutout

Nice job for your first time out. I will be at midnight madness next Friday running Battle of the Boards which will be my first time out with my new setup. I hope to get some seat time early next week to get a feel for the new transmission setup.

Went back & made 3 more runs last night. All runs with 15psi in the tires off transbrake at 3700 RPM

6psi launch hardly any burnout my best 60ft to date 10psi

didnt build long enough only 4.5 psi launch added a pound on the wastegate got 11 psi

6.8psi at launch added another pound 12psi total
