Default FS/SC: 2001 MY Corvette Z06

Year: 2001
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Corvette
Price: $17900
Mileage: 78644
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): SC
Color: Yellow
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

First and foremost let me say although I have a low post count on this forum, I am very active on the corvetteforum.com, evolutionm.net, and nasioc.com all under the same user name: dtm151, thanks for looking!

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Year: 2001

Trim: Z06

Mileage 77821 (and counting, not my daily driver but gets driven 2-3 times per week)

Price: sold!!!
Description: First off this will be a full disclosure as I have nothing to hide and I would expect the exact same from whomever I would purchase a vehicle from. I am the 3rd owner of this car for and have owned it for almost 2 years now. I purchased the car with a little over 50k miles from a very tall gentleman in Maryland.

The car is in fantastic shape for its age and mileage. The car had a clear bra package installed for most of its life up until a month ago when I had it removed and fully detailed (waxed, washed, clay bar, polished, etc). Rock chips and typical front end scars are at a minimum because of this. (I would highly recommend having it done to any car you care about). The only issue being is that a dog ran into the side of my car damaging a small area of the driver’s side door and the mirror (see pictures). I happen to work in the middle of nowhere and believe it was someone’s hunting dog. I have ordered some touch up paint from the local dealership and will arrive within the week.

Initially the car started out as a nice weather fun car, but was transitioned to a dual purpose (Street/HPDE) fun car. So far, I have 9 HPDE and a handful of AutoX events under my belt. I have replaced many items that are prone to failing/malfunctioning in these cars. I am also a very firm believer in preventative maintenance. The car has served me extremely well but I believe it is time to move onto something else. I wish to continue doing HPDE events (albeit with increased frequency) however I cannot justify doing them in a car this nice, and without a true safety cage. As speeds pick up and your comfort level with the car grows the mistakes you make become bigger and bigger, which I am sure any and everyone is aware.

With that being said, this car needs absolutely nothing but a new driver. Clean Carfax, Every single fluid in the car has been changed recently, (power steering, coolant, transmission, differential, engine oil, brake, clutch fluid etc.). I would not hesitate to drive this car coast to coast. I have listed everything to my knowledge below, but there is a chance I may have forgotten something!

I will gladly include extra corvette specific items that I have acquired over my ownership, such as extra brake pads/rotors, power bleeder, fluids, and what not. I will also throw in the Valentine 1 radar detector (it has saved my butt many times!) If you have any questions what so ever, feel free to email or PM me. I am truly in no rush to let the car go as I still enjoy it tremendously and have not chosen what I will pursue next.

Maintenance/repair items:
Slave and Master Cylinders replaced when I put in the LS7 clutch
New OEM driveshaft couplers and bearings as preventive maintenance during clutch job
4 new Timken wheel bearings
Trans/diff fluids changed x2
Oil changed religiously many times well before 3k miles (I ignore the oil life meter)
Re-soldered ECBM
New Steering Wheel Position Sensor
New OEM Hazard Switch (cheap replacement broke after 3 months)
Spark Plugs + Wires changed x2 times

Modification/Parts List:
Trunk Hatch assistance spring
Goodrich SS brake lines
C6 calipers, popular upgrade because they have more material and less likely to spread under track conditions
Powerbond Harmonic balancer, (Solid piece no more wobbling)
LS7 clutch kit + Remote Bleeder (VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE)
DRM Brake Cooling Ducts
LG Pro Longtube Headers + High Flow Cats
K&N FIPK Intake + Vararam Air Bridge
Conservative Custom Tune 373whp / 367wtq (can provide dyno graph)

Sport Seats with Air bladders removed + Bolster Mod (lots of side support over stock Z seats)
Manual Slider for Driver seat

Pfadt Transmission Mount
B&M Short Shifter
Delrin Shift ****
2002 Z06 Solid Endlinks
Hard Wired for Radar Detectors (currently have a Valentine 1 mounted with a hidden display)

TPMS system reactivated.
CAGS -Tuned out
Flush Tail Light kit with weather seals

Best of luck man!

As for everyone else: I've personally seen, ridden in, and driven this C5Z. It's a great car and very well cared for. You won't be disappointed.

Wednesday bump! Harness bar, harnesses, 6 point seat hardware, 2 piece rotors, and stand alone oil cooler/thermostat combo will all be removed this weekend! The price will come down after the parts are removed. If you would like a solid car with some extra go fast goodies thrown in please contact me before this weekend!
