Default Interesting eBay find...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cadillac-CTS-LS2-Swap-2006-cadillac-cts-with-ls-2-swap-34-k-miles-cts-v-/271240084811?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3f272b3d4b&vxp=mtr#ht_1590wt_1021
At 14k and you don't even get a working dash... For all the guys looking to swap an Ls into a v6 cts, I'd say let this be a less learned, your best off just getting a V

That build was trash, IMO. There's a thread on cadillacforums on it. Some young know it all kid decides he's gonna do the swap (which isn't the bad part).

20 pages later, its fluff and bullshit, its a half *** build, it has no AC, no TC, no SC, no working dash, and he's looking to sell it right after completion. Most likely because nothing on it works correctly.

It also has 34lb injectors... aka the stock LS2 injectors.

The only thing worse than the fact that this piece of garbage exists is the thought of what kind of idiot would actually buy it.

He won't answer any questions on how to perform the swap...I wonder if he'd listen to instructions on how to properly do it.

yep. If you had a $3000 CTS shell and could do the swap with an LS2 and parts you found for $4000 I could understand you'd have a very fun car for $8k regardless of the dash working.... not for $14k plus all the work.

Why is the idea of swapping a base model so bad? Its still twice as bad *** as a stock v6!

And half as functional as the base model.

You know that this was a kid who probably got the car as a hand me down. He was building because his dad had a new v. When dad drives a v and gets you a base model a ls swap doesnt sound half bad. Ill be doing a ls swap into a 03 base model here soon. But mine isnt nearly as nice as his was.

Did you see the build thread for this car? Its half-assed at best. Save your time and buy a V and then work on it from there. Doing all that work on the base to attempt to sell at V price without V competition mode, abs, a/c, dash... LOL FOH

I agree with you there. I have no intentions of selling. I just want to build a cts. I think its more practical to take the cts that I bought new in 04 and build it. As opposed to spending 20 grand and building the motor and swapping the trans and gutting half the car.
