Penske syncro mesh??? Anyone??
Hey fellas. While the V is in the shop getting the clutch done, I figure why not change the trans fluid. My buddy wants to use the Penske syncromesh. Has anyone used this? Pros and Cons? He told me this is the same oil they use in the Vette. He is even running it in his 03 Cobra and has zero issues. What would you guys recommend?

FWIW - That's what was sent with my new Rockland Gear T-56 Magnum trans, they won't warranty it with anything else. I used it before the trans broke and it cleared up a lot of shifting issue's when hot, although it made things worse when cold.
I think Fuzzy has the best mixture to date.

Glad to see that people found that mixture beneficial.
To clarify, it's 3 quarts Redline D4 ATF and 1 quart Redline MTL 70W80 GL-4. If your transmission is extremely old, or you're having a lot of trouble shifting, you can do a 50/50 mixture of D4 ATF and MTL.

Correct. There's a drain (unscrew the temperature sensor) and a huge fill plug located on the side of the transmission. If you want to do the fluid change with the transmission in the car, you'll need some kind of hand/powered pump with a length of hose to get the fluid up and into the T-56.

Ok so using the REDLINE ATF and mixing it with Manual trans fluid, doing this is safe and wont harm the trans in anyway right? LAst thing I need is to be replacing a transmission that has no issues..

Exactly the same color as it went in. By contrast, the GM stock fill was totally black after 7,000 miles.

Pick the oil viscosity that matches the temperature you start the car in and your driving habits. Change it consistently.
Independent laboratory test results show that AMSOIL outperforms the competition. Redline isn't bad, either.

I drive it pretty hard street only. No complaints with the Mobil 1. I use whatever factory calls for.

I came with the recommended fuzzy fluid and I must say my tranns is shifting smoother. Feels like it lost some of the clunkiness. Got my fluids of Amazon
Thanks again, hope the tranns doesn't blow =)

My trans wont shift above 4-5k rpms on fresh amsoil atf. The car just rolled over 100k miles the other day. What percentage should I use of each redline fluid?
