turbo with a/c... how hot you running?
Daily drivers, hot and humid climates, and those running a/c.
In stop and go traffic, highway and at idle how hot do your cars run? What kind of coolant temps do y'all regularly see? If possible could you give a brief description of the setup? Fan type and location, intercooler, condenser and radiator etc.
My front mount setup wants to hang around in the 220-230. That's obviously hot but is it "too hot"?
Thanks.

Its not too hot. From the factory the high speed fans are set to come on around 235. If its 100 and very humid i see 235 in idle style stop and go traffic. Saab 93 fans, griffin radiator, 160 t stat

In a 100-110* day here in AZ. Sitting in traffic ill see 228-230*.
On the freeway I see about 205-215*
Front mount setup with a 31x12x4 intercooler sitting upfront.
Stock GTO fans and radiator.

Thanks...
Sure seems like it is normal to see "high" temps. My biggest concern with temps being this high is that I dont want to hurt anything such a head gasket or even worse, warping an aluminum head.
My car at this point wont necessarily be a daily driver but I do intend to drive it as much as I can and that includes plenty of stop n go stuff in the middle of summer here in miami.

Id say 240 every day for extended periods of time could lead to reduced engine life specially if the oil is thinning out. What is your radiator fan setup? 50/50 coolant?

I have the stock pullers, radiator, and condenser so mine doesn't go above 200* or so (stock thermostat) even when I beat on it. Turbo where battery was, turbo blanket, DEI titanium wrapped plumbing, trans cooler in front of condenser, intercooler about 10" from condenser at closest point.

If tight on space up front try Derale 11.75" pushers part number 16925, they flow ~2200cfm each and quite a few here have used them with front mount ac builds.
If you have the space pullers may be preferable but a lot of them don't flow very high compared to the stockers so that could be part of your issue.
You could also try making a custom fan shroud for your puller fan(s) which may help direct air over more of the radiator as well. I have seen several nice shrouds made by people here using a custom puller setup.

Spray: sorry boss. Got 50/50 in there.. no water wetter. Probably has more water than coolant.
The issue is space. The kit is a t6 with a s485. These cars obviously have limited space upfront so getting it all to work is tough. Right now there is a pusher and a puller.

Try running 25% coolant,75% water with a can or 2 or water wetter. Also do you still have the factory ps cooler? If so it could be actually heating things up if its close to the turbo. Get rid of that and get a turbo blanket. Id try those 3 things before you start and major mods

heres some pics of the assembly i made for the last turbo car i built that kept ac.
originally used the 25241 radiator everyone uses but that would get into the 230's and not shed heat at speed once it got warm. swapped to the 55241 and it got MUCH better.
in summer heat with the ac on max, sat around 215-220 in bs stop and go traffic. 200-205 cruising, 195 hwy. about 25% coolant with two bottles of water wetter. thats what i saw in the couple hundred miles i put on the car, talked to the owner a week or so ago and he said he hasnt had any issues.

On my corvette it never gets over 200 in traffic. And it's 100 degrees and humid here in arkansas. My fairmont stays bout the same around 200 with a front mount turbo setup.
