Default Low dyno numbers??? 670rwhp 408 w/s91 @ 12lbs

Does 670rwp seem low for a 408 w/s91 turbo at 12lbs of boost? I was expecting around 100 more up. this is through a 4l80e and 9" with a 242/238 cam. Will know more details tomorrow but was told tires were spinning some on the dyno.

Doesnt seem too far off with if the conveter is unlocked. Big turbo like that problyis no wear near in its efficiency range. Take it to the track

more grunt with less boost than me!! Whats it like to drive on the street with the s91? I hit 627 on my 408 @ 15psi but my gt4708 is choking my engine still. Full boost by 3000rpm though. Great for a street turbo.

What dyno? I have the same exact setup almost. I have s91 turbo on a 408 and at 22lbs of boost on Shell 110 I made about 1100hp and 1023tq on a Mustang. I'm at about 720 or so on 15lbs. So you are not that far off.

I'll know more tomorrow and have the graph. This is on a mustang dyno through full exhaust. Exhaust is 4" to the axle and splits into dual 3"exits. Last year the same setup made 602 on a dyno jet at 7.5lbs of boost but it was cooler and less humid.

That's more of the ussue. A 5psi jump for almost no gain. Id look into that

Turn up the boost. My buddy wasn't that happy with his 91 until 15-17 psi and was seeing really nice gains per # of boost.

If it has stock heads that is about right. It will start getting happy once you get to 20psi.

I feel better about the numbers today. If you factor in mustang vs dynojet numbers, 11lbs of boost on a turbo that is barely starting to spin and throw in the correction factor I think the combo is right where it should be.
