old junk 94 mustang
im offshore right now killing time so I don't have many of the earlier pictures, ill try to get some of those up if I can. Long story short I picked up this car as a roller about a year ago. Ive always liked mustangs...owned a couple of fox's....but I have also become a fan of the later gm motors. so here it is!
started with a.....basketcase of a car. it was mostly disassembled. Basically one of those projects that was never going to be finished. I picked up the car cheap, for 1000 bucks it had 31 splines, 4:10s, rear control arms, subframes, caged, surprisingly nice tig welds at that, two interiors, and all kinds of misc. stuff in the trunk. after I sold about 600 bucks worth of misc stuff I had 400 bucks in a car with a pretty straight body and clean interior.
motor is an iron 6.0. LME out of Houston did the machine work and balanced it. I assembled it. Callies rotating assembly. 4" stroke crank, h beams, pistons are 4.005" flat tops. just plain ol 317 heads. vic jr and holley ultra hp 750. Cam is texas speed tsunami. I used mustang 351 headers with chevy flanges that actually worked out great.
trans is a turbo 400 I put together, pretty simple. 4000 converter, alto clutches, with the better front drum and sprags. hope it holds up!
I spent about 300 bucks on paint, and a lot of time. not being a paint or body guy it came out pretty decent. except the back bumper....its junk.

well I got a few days back on land while the weather was bad and got this turd on the road!
I was pretty happy with it, not sure if im happy with the converter but theres no better feeling than having all gears on the first test drive after you build a trans.....as many as ive built I still cross my fingers. Engine runs cool, no driveline vibration or any crazy noises.....not that I could hear them over the drone of the exhaust. Its pretty bad, but I knew it would be. With the 4.10s and turbo 400 a comfortable cruise speed is about 55
I am really impressed with the tires, they hook great.
heres some other stuff while im killing time.
the headers I modified, just cheap 351 mustang headers with chevy flanges
simple exhaust I put together
that's right, chrome pan and all

man, in my old age it would take a lot to get me to street race ....actually turned 33 today! haha
I was just out testing and tuning.....on the street....just messing around
for a hood im going to do a bolt on HO fibertrends cobra r hood 3.5" cowl...I may have to do a different air filter but im not a fan of the one I put on there anyhow.

well, if you know where the wal mart distribution center is in sealy.....that's where I do a lot of my....testing....same road as that video
speaking of wal marts, Sealy has the shittiest wal mart I have ever been to! I hate that place....but what can you do. I would think having a distribution center about a mile away would help with keeping things on the shelf.
yes the headers are 351 fox swap headers, they are just cheap bbk stuff. and they fit really well after putting the flanges on, I had mine too close to the trans on the drivers side when I first did them, so I had to cut the flange off and try again.....just something to look for.
