Default V1 pacesetter long tubes

How's the fitment? Are these a buy? For those of you who have them would you buy them again?

I did pacesetter LTs with the offroad connections. No cats... Perfect fit. I'd buy them again, no question. They're holding up perfect.

Pacesetters here. had to have the off road extensions weleded onto the headers and cutdown otherwise my stock catback stuck out 2 inches past the bumper.

Agree with both of them.

I talk about them in my Build thread as I just installed them this weekend.

My only complaints is that they are not coated inside, but I coated the inside myself, so no worries there.

Any specific questions just let me know.

Purchased my V less than a month ago, pretty sure it has a Magnaflow x-pipe. I was planning on getting the Pacesetter's to get a little more sound tell I'm ready to bring my plans to fruition. I was also going to have some electronic cut-outs thrown in the mix.

Looks like you may have done the same. Which setup did you go with?

I cut and welded the off road connection pipes on as well. Looking back, I bet if you had and exhaust tubing expander then you could expand the connectors slightly to go over the collector and just use the provided clamps.

I thought they fit well, no issues so far.

Nope, the pipes are just too long.....

Any advice on the coated vs painted headers? Planning on running some very soon without header wrap.

Michael, I have heard nothing but good about the pacestters. The Haters out there that think you have to spend 1k+ for headers are fooling themselves to justify the expense. You SHOULD have the headers coated internally as well and you don't need to wrap them. Have Fun!

The coated pacesetters (external coated only) with off road connections is almost the same price as the obx SS.

I bought the uncoated and ceramic painted the exterior and interior as well as I could myself and the wrapped them. Your spark plug wire boots will hit the headers, I would at least wrap that area. I wrapped them because of the Magnacharger to get as much heat out of the engine bay as I could. There are pros and cons to each option. I went with pacesetter because I didn't have to cut into the stock exhaust, and the price.

I just installed Pacesetters this weekend and the MSD wires do not touch the exhaust at all.

I am running DEI sleeves as well over the plug wires.....

Has anybody had issues with road blast taking away the coating on their headers?

On the front of my kooks the coating is all but gone and they don't look very good. I'm thinking about making a type of "heatshield/protector" to put in front of the headers so that the road blast doesn't completely eat through them.

In the meantime I'm going to spray them with a couple coats of ceramic header paint and possibly wrap them with some leftover DEI titanium wrap I have laying around.

had great results with mine so far, mine are uncoated, I sprayed them with dei header paint and its holdin up great. I definitely recommend doin engine mounts while u have em off. the driver side was kind of a bitch to wrestle up in there.

Mine aren't welded. Had em for about a year. No exhaust leaks, no issues. Clamped down.. Headers, offroad connectors, stock exhaust plumbing.

Yeah, def. would be a good time to do MM if you are doing headers.

How far do your exhaust tips stick out the back of the car, if you are on a stock catback
