Default Flash new ECM
I'm getting a new ECM from GMpartsdirect and need to know what's involved in flashing the ECM with my current tune. Will I be able to use HPT's and simply do a write entire or is there something else I need to do?

What ECM? Some you can flash but most newer ones have to flash with tech II first.

Yes, a new 411 PCM can be flashed with HPT doing a write entire.

For anyone else that needs to change their PCM you will also need two credits to flash your "licensed" VIN to it.

Or you can send you PCM and file to a tuner that has tunercat for obd2. Typical cost is less than the Hptuners credits cost.

Yeah we flash them cheaper than credits.
