NX system Umm....I'm stumped
Finally got the car to the track after the T-56 - 4L80E swap. Here is what's got me stumped.
Details:
NX Proton Plus Single Nozzle System
6* of timing pulled from the pcm
BR7EF plugs
Bottle Pressure 950 psi each run
Frost tune. He's tuned the car for a year and a half.
I made the first run on the 100 shot. Not a great run but decent considering the car is basically a completely different car now and 1st gear is shifting 800 rpms too soon.
1.72 60' 7.66 1/8th mile 11.76 @ 117
2nd run was on the 150 shot. The car ran the same 60', 1/8th mile and 1/4 mile et and mph as it did on the 100 shot.
Scratching my head I put in the 125 shot. Again the same 60', 1/8th mile, 1/4 mile et and mph as the 100 shot.
Ummm. There should be a lot of difference between the 100 and 150 shot.
I'm thinking it's got to be the solenoid? The bottle pressure was steady at 950 psi, it's always filled with a filter. The solenoid is supposed to be able to handle a 250 shot according to NX. I've ran less than 2 bottles through this system so it's fairly new.
Any ideas???

What jets are you running? You can always take the inlet line off of your nitrous solenoid, and look down in that filter to see if its clogged with anything, obviously, this would cause a flow restriction. Take that line off and look down in the filter with a light. We have had 2 versions of the Protons, and we came out with a new style about a year and a half ago, give me a call at 940-767-7694 so we can determine if you have the old style.

Before the tranny swap I was pulling 4* on a 100 shot. My plan is to run the 150 shot now so I bumped the timing retard to 6*. I ran the 100 shot last night first since I knew what my old times were I could compare better. Knowing it would be a bit slower with the additional timing being pulled.
100 shot 52n 27f
125 shot was 62n 31f
150 shot was 78n 34f
I'll take the line off and look to see if there are any restrictions in the solenoid.

It's picking up a lot compared to a motor run. It is a wet kit.
Mine was bought last September from Autoplicity. I've had issues in the past where my et would vary from the 1st shot being the best et and the last being up to .5 second slower. Never could figure that out.

Yeah. They're taking care of it. Yeah 11.7 on the 100 shot but my tranny is shifting 800 rpm's early in 1st for some reason with my drag tires on the car (it's not doing that with my street tires) and I'm not shooting it dead off the line (Still have the 10 bolt).

I don't car how good/bad the kit is. if you put a 78 jet in its a 78 jet worth of nitrous. it may only make 150 hp but for tuning purposes you better understand how much nitrous your getting. The only way it would matter is if there is a restriction where after a jet of x size you don't get any more nitrous. the jet numbr games have been played for years. Guy love to say it goes blah blah on 150 shot. the real way to measure would be to say it goes blah blah on a 62 jet...

New kit first run on the 100 shot. Night and day difference and I lifted a little at the start. front end was very light. Guess I need to get used to that. lol. Might have cost me a .10 of a second. Gonna shoot the 150 shot this Thursday. Thanks again Garrett. You guys at NX do a great job.
