Default how much nitrous on this setup?

Iam starting to button up my swap and was wondering how much nitrous should I throw at it?
Here is the setup:
02 lq9 100k miles
Ls3 heads shaved 2 thousand
BTR dual springs
Tick cam (havnt had it speced yet)
Ls7 lifters
Ls6 ported oil pump
Ls3 intake manifold and injectors
Custom 1 7/8 long tubes
Rossler T2 th400
3600stall converter.
Holley hp efi ecu,
2700lb raceweight car
Ford 8.8 with spool
Nx lightning kit with pro solenoids, and progressive controller. Might get the ls3 manifold plumbed for direct or single nozzle

I was hoping for 450 to the tire on motor and then whatever it makes safely on nitrous. I was hoping for 125-175 safely. Thinking of ramping the nitrous in at .5s from 40% -100% by 3 seconds

Do you have room for a single plane intake with a 4150 throttle body on top? If so do that with the nitrous outlet puck or a spray bar. Should be good for high 9's on motor like that.I'd start at 150 on a new combo and work your way up. How far you want to go is up to you and how much nitrous tuning experience you have.

That setup should be able to support the 125-175 shot that you are wanting, I would even say as long as your tune is good a 200 hp shot would be safe.

If you are interested in getting your manifold plumbed give me a shout and we can go over your different options and figure out what would work best.

Defiantly give Martin at Tick a call and he will get you setup with a good cam.

I had martin spec me out a cam but.then my setup.completely changed so now I have to get a new one speced out.
I could go 4150 route but I would need a cowl and iam trying to keep the car rather stock Appearing.

Thanks Trey!!!

I agree 100% with Trey on the amount of nitrous it will hold. I've personally sprayed 250 and even 300 on my old stock bottom end.

What was your a/f ratio on the nitrous when you were doing that? And at what HP level do you think it is time for a B8 plug?

I ran B9EFS on those tune ups. IMO a .078 jet or higher needs a 8 heat range plug.

Usually it was 11.9-12.4. On my best MPH passes it was 12.4-12.6.

On C16 17-19 degrees. Never got a chance to work more in it, but the car went 116.5 mph on a .082 jet with my NX plate, DF5 valve and -6 feed line.

It was showing some heat, but there was still some left in it.

On the starting line it was 27 and I was pulling 8-10 degrees of timing on the .082 jet. 12 degrees on the .099 jet. I had some other issues when I tried to run the big jet which didn't let it really make the power it could have.

Since I had those issues I was actually ramping timing out progressively instead of pulling one big chunk. I wasn't able to do that once I got the issues lined out as it was hitting much harder off the line.

Well since you have the Holley HP EFI no need for external progressive as it is built in. Also why not go dry nitrous the Holley controls are pretty cool. I switched from BS3 and love the options it gives you.
