I seen some of the write ups that don't go into details about putting the car on ramps. Mine are too tall, just wondering if they have any that I could use for the V.

I'm stock height, stock wheels and std size tires. I'm not sure of brand or when/where I got them.
If you're having clearance issues, maybe you can try driving up on a 2x10" block to elevate the front before you align the ramps.

Try one of these, depending on how low your car is:

Rhino ramps from your local auto stores work just fine. They also fit together for storage. If you're lowered it's going to brush and bend the black wind guard, but that thing is made to bend and it's no problem.
And no they don't slide forward at stock height. If you're lowered they might because the wind guard is going to be pushing on them, better wedge it up there good first! Or just drive up on a 1" board of wood and problem solved.
Rhino ramps are $40 for the 12,000 lb units. $330 for ramps damn ^^^ !!!

Rhino ramps composite ramps work awesome and are good for 6 tons. They also fit between the studs in my garage wall so they store out of the way. They have a rubber snubber at the tip of the ramp that holds it in place on the floor as you drive on...best 39 bucks I've spent in a long time. My car is stock height though...can't say if they'll work as well on a lowered car.

haha thanks
hey it worked, i dropped my trans/torque tube/rear cradle for my trans swap. if you need to do anything underneath the car and you dont have the money for a lift this is the way to go.
just make sure you can still jack up the car while its on the platform so you can get those tires off of it to do any maintenance

I just use jack stands anytime I need the car in the air. I like the wooden box idea but I also like being able to adjust height as needed and freedom to roll around under the car. The boxes would be restricting I would think.

Ramps are nice because you completely avoid damaging the unibody with jackstands if you don't need to remove a wheel. The unibody's on these cars aren't the most sturdy things out there.

I drilled two holes in the concrete floor and nailed a couple of 2x4's together in succession to "ramp up" to the ramp. Drilled through the 2x4's and cut a bolt to fit down flush with the top of the wood. This anchors the wood to the floor and will not slip when transferring onto the actual ramps.... worked great. Need to do this here at the new house actually... lol The last oil change I did was a PITA!
