Default any suggestions on an air intake on swap?

I'm almost done with my ls swap on my 68 camaro and was wondering how everybody else was running their air intakes. I will be also using a intake air temp sensor and maf. If you could include a picture that would be cool. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks Tommy

I'm running a simple system...airaid tube with a conical spectra air cleaner. I bought the airaid tube kit from summit. I drilled a hole and mounted the AIT sensor near the air cleaner. I plan on sanding the tube down and painting it to match the car.

Check this link out....guy did an awesome job...This is where I got the idea for the airaid tube.

Do you remember the air raid number? Possible to get that upper hose part number from you? I don't think my upper hose will work with any air intake because it passes right infront of the throttle body. Are you running a maf?

Airaid summit racing.....

I assume you mean the upper rad hose...not sure ...I think it was a 5.3 truck hose from carquest auto parts. Let me look around and get back with you.

Yes, I am running a MAF. It's connected to the air cleaner like this attached image. I plan on getting rid of the flexable elbow and using the rigid airaid material.

I started with a piece of pvc pipe and a $14 elbow. The filter is screwed to a toilet flange.

A year later and all I have done is cover the pvc with wood-grain vinyl to make it pretty.

Did you pick up the elbow at a parts store?

Here's mine with a custom cold air box. The cold air box is sealed off from the rest of the engine bay and fed with cool air from an unused fog light hole.

I got all the silicon hoses from http://www.siliconeintakes.com/

Yeah, they are really good also. Large selection.

I really need to build a shroud around mine. I have been fooling with carbon fiber lately, I would like to make one out of that.

if you can fit a shroud in to keep the hot air away I think it is worth the effort.

I bought my pieces from intakehoses.com. I bought a 90 reducing elbow & a 45 elbow with clamps and the tubing. I then routed it to the inside fender behind the headlight. I braced it by welding a tab on the fender support and using a clamp to hold it in place. The AIT sensor I put in the 45 elbow. It can be seen in pic by the fender support. I polished the aluminum tubing after all the mock up was done. The air cleaner was bought from Auto Zone.
