Question Aprox weight of MWC Fab9 housing & best way to ship

I am selling my MWC FAB9 and was wondering the easiest way to ship. I was thinking of getting 2 large tupperware and cutting the end of one side, on both then taping the hell out of them to make one long *** container. What do you guys think? I'm not worried about the weight, per say, since we can ship transmissions, but I was wondering if UPS or FedEx will ship it at that length. BTW, it's stock length.

Also, speaking of weight, does anyone know how much they weigh? It is an empty housing ( no center or axles).

Thanks!

~65lbs for just the housing.

Oh no doubt, lol, but I am not paying their insane freight prices. I was referring to regular ground shipping.

A housing is pretty much indestructible, wrap it in cardboard (appliance box) then go over it with plastic shrink wrap. Put it on your bathroom scale, they're close enough...

Except for the housing ends, these tend to be very sensitive to being dropped...trust me. An empty housing wont have as much weight behind it but I would still focus the majority of your protection measures there.

Alright, cut a pair of 12 x 12 pieces of 3/4" scrap plywood, center them on the axle ends, bolt them on, then box and wrap...

lol... that's a great idea! Now I need to see if it's too long for ground, with UPS or FedEx
