Default Moving to Anna Tx

I will be moving to Anna Tx in the next couple of months I was trying to see what there is to do up there as far as the car scene any one hang out and just talk about cars ? looking forward to the move. if any one could just kind of give me an idea what its like up there would really be appreciated. should be there by the beginning of the year perhaps earlier depends when the home I am moving into is ready. I love to work on cars and help out people if they need to work on their cars I am a graduate from SAM so I can pretty much do anything engine wise. any info would be appreciated.

I actually live in Anna myself... Not a lot to do here at all. But it is away from the craziness... But close enough to do things in McKinney,Plano,Frisco,Dallas... all within a short driving distance.

Why would you move to Anna? It's a nice little town. I grew up in Princeton so I don't see the allure. Lol

Not much to do up that way, Sherman is old and tired, come down south some to the Frisco area. I am in Prosper, just north of Frisco.

It is starting to grow more up that way, just will take a bit of time. Once the tollway extends passed US 380 I foresee that place booming!

I too built a home about 2 years ago here in Anna... West Crossing. Like you, 26 years in the US Army.. My neighbor is Lead cardiologist for Baylor... My other neighbor is the city Manager, Former Mayor lives 3 houses down, City,County,DPS police officers all around. Don't listen to the ney sayers.... People used to say the same of Frisco, McKinney BOTH of which are now very large, prosperous cities.

It is definitely not the Woodlands... but it is a quiet decent community.
Look me up...
The xmas lights are from last year...

You'll love the small town feel but still being close enough to Mckinney to go grocery shopping and what not. I've lived up here for 4 yrs and have not had one issue with living in Anna. Cheap houses and very friendly people, plus we are getting a Walmart and from what I hear CVS is going in soon also.

Cheap is a relative term.... Nothing cheap about my home... However, with the growth here in Anna ,Melissa areas my property value has shot up in the past 2 years substantially. I paid around $175K for mine.... The same home now is in the $215K area... They are also building $300K homes on my block now which only increases the value of mine and others.

It is true we are getting a CVS soon and a Wal Mart in the coming years as well as a Cinemark... (woo hoo)... As long as DART doesn't come out this way anytime soon.. You'll like it here... Def NOT The Woodlands though.

I think you are taking what he said out of context.
