Default I saw this a couple of days ago



It holds air but is it safe? Patch on a sidewall? driving 100 miles tomorow. Brian.

No sure what to say, sidewall is pretty iffy. Can you see how deep it went at all? Most, if not all places wont fix a sidewall(around here anyways)...

I guess i will find out tomorrow. How does this happen, there is no mark on the tire? Belt shift?

BTW, repairing a sidewall is against the law in most states.

thats so iffy, thats where the plies end so i wouldn't chance it.

Thanks for all the replies. I found out the tire is still made and it's only $100 new. Being in the northeast the car is about to go away for the Winter. First on my list will be the tire or maybe I can scrape up a few bucks and do 17" new rims and tires.
