Since you don't have to worry about cowl clearance like on an f-body, you can convert SBC heads and run a roots blower...

That's what I would do at least .

A procharger will mount the blower in front, around the accessory bracket like a turbo. They are basically the only type of blower choice for most of us because our motors sit so far back that the rear cylinders are under the windshield. They have a lot of benefits like running cooler and being able to keep the stock hood.

In your chassis, your whole motor is free so you can run a top mounted supercharger like a whipple that gets bolted directly to the heads in place of the intake. This is how the new breed of factory supercharged cars like the ZL1 and ZR1 are set up. They are a more simple setup that won't clog up the front of your engine bay with tubing, and make more TQ right off the line...and lets be honest, they look badass.

They both have their pro's and con's.

Personally, I'd build the motor. Leave superchargers to the pussies with the Crustangs.

Nitrous is just as safe as running a blower, something was done wrong if you blew it up. What compression are you running?

Good aftermarket ported heads would be my next choice. Sell the ported stockers and upgrade to some Ai ported trick flow 195cc or 215cc heads; big NA hp
