Default Starting my 24X conversion

I'm finally going to start my 24 X conversion. Does anyone have any advice for me? I have a camera and I'm going to disconnect and connect as I go instead of ripping everything off and getting lost. Here's a picture of my ring BP automotive harness. I'll get some more later on. [IMG][/IMG]

and... pull off all the accessories, take water pump off, timing cover (don't rip oil pan gasket, so drop the oil pan a tad...) install 24x timing cover, sensor, then plug it all in.

I did that backwards then. I did all the wiring first and now I have to unplug or some parts didn't plug in cause I still have the old stuff on. I'm also having a great time with the water pump. Theirs on bolt by the power steering pump that I cant get too. Do you all think I will have to pull the power steering pump to take off the water pump?

You can get to the bolt behind the power steering pulley with the right tools. Be creative.

Short wobbly extension and short socket will get it loose enough for you to take it out with your fingers. If you loosen it too much the socket will back up against the power steering pulley. Make sure to use sealant on the bottom-most water pump bolts. They both tap into water jackets. Tighten the reverse way. Put bolt in finger tight and then use wobbly rig to torque to spec. Use the torque specs recommended and torque the bolts from the inside out.

EFI Live has the parts and harnesses to do the swap. BP Auto also has harnesses and other misc. parts to get the job done. Cost will depend on if you buy or make the harness or piece together your own kit. Id say a rough estimate if you buy everything, 2 grand. Less if you do your own harness.

I opted to build my harness with efi's diy kit and bought the opti delete set up they have. I also started with a 96 motor so it had the crank set up. I'm in my kit for less then 1k.

I do have the BP Automotive coil brackets along with some truck coils and harnesse's.

I bought the my harness from BP Automotive. $770 Great work! I'm so glad I got this all new. My harness looked chopped up and failing apart. It feels good to have this all new

EFI connection kit that includes 24x crank reluctor, crank position sensor, 1x cam reluctor, cam position sensor, cam sensor housing, crank key $495

Efi Connection coil brackets, & two coil harnesses. $200-250?

MAF sensor, coils, pcm, pcm bracket, 96/97 timing chain cover, 96/97 hub I got from eBay, craigslist, and classifieds. I took my time and got real good deals on all the stuff.

I might of be forgetting some stuff, but I had to buy more than normal stuff like MAF sensor, timing chain cover, etc.
