Where are you at turbo guys? Need some input!
The goal is 900-1000 whp on 93 pump gas and I need your input on my setup and if I can make it
408ci lq4 full forged internals 9.1:1 comp
317 heads p&p with arp studs and ls9 gaskets
Ls6 intake and ported TB
232/238 .595/.605 115 (was used with my old procharger)
FI's s400sx-80 et-r HO
Is meth necessary and do I need to swap cams?
This is through a tranzilla 6 speed and moser 9"

Making 2 psi more than I did on my 755rwhp pull on a stock ls1 with cam on pump 93 and 100% m1 methanol. Stock bolts, and everything. I believe 1000rwhp on pump and meth is very doable. Run twin 10gph or twin 15gph meth nozzles and 100% meth and I think it will be fine. Im no expert but I have 1500 miles on my 20psi ls1 setup I know making over 800rwhp now on only 93pump and meth. 4th gear 100+mph burnouts all day long. My info is in my sig but I have twin 10gph nozzles using 100% and they come on full force at 7psi. AFRs stay 11.2 or lower. Timing 14 degrees. The s480 gonna kill compared to my s475 though. Should make a lot more power. And a 408 to top it off lol.

I figured I would need meth, I know the majority of guys on this forum use it but it seemed like most were with 91 octane and I wasn't sure if having 93 would help a little bit. I know I didn't put it in the original post but obviously I will be running an A2A intercooler

I've never really looked into a2w bc I always assumed that was more for track only cars. My thought was the less external systems (i.e. multiple pumps, meth or a2w coolers) the more reliable the car would be on the street. I was thinking about running an extra fuel cell with race gas and having a higher boost tune to achieve that 1000 whp goal

they are easy to make.

If your going for a pump gas car with aftermarket internals why not drop the compression down? You take a 4% hit on total power with a full point drop in compression. 8:1 would allow much more boost to be run on 93 and not cost you much power.
I'd sell that cam too...

And buy a good quality intercooler.

You need an inline grainger valve set to the boost pressure you want to run. It will not allow any pressure to the gate until your set pressure is reached, Then the valve opens and allows full pressure. Acts just like having the gate pinned shut until your desired boost level.
