Default Who is the best

Looking for first hand experience with engine builders. Who has the best price/reputation on turbo short blocks? looking for a MILE motor that can stand up to 900 or so and yes i would like it to run on pump gas only. She will need to be built around a set of 317 heads i have for it.

I'm in the Houston area and would prefer to build local but am willing to ship for the right deal. Cash buyer here looking for the right seller and soon..

I would look into Late Model Engines, ERL Performance, Kurt Urban Performance, or Motor City Speed (Bill Briggs).

LMR is like 9 minutes from my house, been thinking about those guys but ive heard they are unnecessarily over priced.

Late Model Racecraft uses Late Model Engines to build their stuff. I personally wouldn't call them overpriced, their stuff works time and time again.

No they are not, LMR uses LME to build their engines.

My times in sig. LME has built my motor for years. Never had a engine fail that they have built. Heads and oil pan never come off all season! I ship mine pretty far to use them, you are lucky!!

Been reading about the forged 327 long block from AES too.. That seems like it would be a blast to drive and its CHEAP.. Does anyone know if they still offer them? at the end of the day this motor is going into a 2650lb car so big torque isn't really that necessary. Not to mention i have 2 MP T61 turbos to throw at it.

AES you will be happy! they are great to deal with and produce some great engines. They built my 410ci LSX short block.

ERL
LME
Scoggins Dickey
KUP
Briggs
TSP
