Silverado Cheyenne Concept: 420hp/460 lb-ft, 200-lb diet, carbon-ceramic brakes
Attention General Motors, if you're reading this, please, PLEASE make this truck! OK, so we don't need all the carbon fiber or the entire 200-pound weight savings, but shave 100-pounds, keep the Camaro Z/28 carbon ceramic brakes, 19-inch wheels, flat-bottom steering wheel and of course the 420hp and 460 lb-ft 6.2-liter V8 and regular cab option! Ford has the Tremor, Dodge has the R/T so naturally we need a GM muscle truck in our corner. Of course a factory fighter with an LS9 or forced induction would be ideal, but hey, this truck appears to be totally attainable even for the corporate bean-counters and would offer us Gearheads a great platform to build upon!
I for one am a huge fan of regular cab muscle trucks, as my daily driver is a 2003 RCSB Silverado with a Magnacharged 5.3 and bolt-ons, but a factory GM alternative would be awesome. OK, so a four-door version would likely sell well, but don't forget the RCSB version because a factory-stock 13-second truck is just plain bada$$!

I like the idea, and a TT V6 would be great! I don't want or need all that carbon fiber mess. It simply drives up costs. I also don't care for all the "guzzied up" looks, like the massive chin spoiler. Still, a performance model that actually performs... sounds great.

All the resources of GM and all they can save is 200 pounds on the darn thing? Frankly the hitch is a large part of that I'd imagine.
Doesn't matter I suppose. I am to the point where I am able to and WOULD still buy one tomorrow and finish the job GM started. My guess is that, based on GM's track record with trucks I like, this will never see the light of day. They will release an SS or some shitty package on a crew cab 4wd truck and one again those who would like a RCSB 2wd truck will be told to either buy a normal standard truck or go to Ford/Dodge.

Also agree that the LSA should be the minimum engine choice. Let buyers go for an LS9 if they want to pay a premium for it.

I think it looks sick! Just needs to make the hood vent bigger & agreed that the wheels to be 1" or 2" bigger other then that all that carbon fiber isn't really need maybe just a few accents in the interior & you got a bad *** truck
