ERMFTW!

The blower comes on hard from the waste gate setup.

Not to familiar at all with Supercharger graphs, kick as results for sure, but why did it get wavy at the end? Out of air, or belt slip? sorry for the ignorance.

Waste gate air fluctuation is my guess. I really only want to run to 6000 rpm and hope to have a long running engine. 6000 rpm shifts brings me to 4500 and stays at about 700+wtq during a run.

Compression ?

Can you give a quick explanation how using this wg differs from say using just a bypass valve for those of us who are not familiar? And what the advantages are?

From your graph, it must limit boost to 17psi rather than continue to climb ? Does this work similar to using a restrictor plate on the inlet to the blower ?

Looks like you are getting valve float up top. It also goes almost to 10.0 up top might have something to do with it but looks more like valve float to me... What springs are on this set up?

I think a bypass valve and a BOV work when the throttle is closed to prevent damage to tb etc. Now if your talking about a boost limiter valve like on 928 and a waste gate then they work the same venting atmosphere open throttle to limit the top end psi.

Advantages to that I have found are a stronger tq curve. I have yet to see a similar power curve on a centi w stock cubes to mine. The power under the curve comes in sooner too so even a bit or rpm the car is effortlessly accelerating.

I have restrictor plates too that I tryed but I was not happy w the way the car acted. I think it was due to the design and making too much air turbulence before the blower.

Disadvantages:
With the higher you over spin (Im still under procharger specs alot) and with teh wg if your not set right (too much psi difference between teh 2) you will deal with IAT issues. I think my setup unrestricted by a wg will make about 23 psi and w teh sg set at 15.5 psi the power was maxed out too far down teh power curve (5300 max hp of 711) and teh IAT was 165 wo meth on the dyno and on a 140 pull (on the track) I was seeing 205 deg.

Im now at 817 whp at 5600 which was my goal and my IAT at 6000 rpm is 100 deg and 135 by 6800. This is with meth.

Suggestions on specs for this setup that I learned is to keep the wg and the unrestricted psi to 3-5 lb max difference.

The other thing that I knew would happen was parasitic loss since reguardless of what you have your wg dialed at your blower is still working to make teh unrestricted psi. (for me it is about 23)

Its not valve float. New springs last year and w the old set switched at 15k the motor was seeing 7000 rpm almost daily.

Nice job on the pulls and they say theres no replacement for displacement. I respectfully disagree.over 800whp and still everyday drivability ! What could be better then that?? It is really cool to see someone driving there car with that much hp.I love it.
