Default 2007 cts-v

Hey guys, i'm back at it again looking for another and this one caught my eye.

http://www.performancejeepdodgeoflin...8212a14d0a.htm

Anything i should be worried about? according to the CarFax it has one open recall and ben involved in an accident. just wanted to get some owners opinions.

Any known common problems with this year besides the crappy rear diffss?

Thanks in advanced

'07 diff is by far the best out of the 1st gen. It looks like the "trash can" lid that covers the engine is missing, no big deal but might give you a little to haggle the price a bit. Standard issues with the CTS-V. Does it shake at shutdown (bad engine mounts)? Rear diff bushing probably worn... There have been plenty of other threads that a search will help.

I might be wrong, but I don't think the V1's had volume controls on the steering wheel; my 05 doesn't at any rate...

My 05 doesn't, either. I always thought it was a tad odd on a $50k car, especially in 05, but I decided the traction control button was enough, given I had 400 hp and a 6 speed.

I believe that was a change for 06-07.

07's had a revised differential design. Not the LAST design, but not the crappy one either..

Looks pretty clean, though considering the previous accident I wouldn't buy it without being able to inspect the body lines and seams for body straightness, overspray etc. etc.

Paint looks like it could probably use a clearcoat correction polish, but tough to tell from the pics provided.

Looks like all the button paint on the Nav/Stereo unit is intact, which is a rarity on used cars. Though there appears to be some peeling on the shifter bezel.

Not sure if they took pics without the floormats on purpose or if they're missing. I'd ask about those..

Priced alright, considering the CarFax record. With a clean record I'd expect to have seen it listed for 22, maybe 23K.

If you're looking for points to use to talk down the price, check for the obvious things. Paint damage, interior wear, curb rash on the wheels, tire life, etc. etc.

Buy this one: https://ls1tech.com/forums/cadillac-...lots-mods.html

Then take me for a ride in it after you buy it. And/or sell me parts from it. Like the Corsa axle-back that comes with it...

Definitly try to get info on the accident. Or take it to a garage and have them inspect it. The last thing you want is a car with more problems.

Looks pretty clean but I just don't see how anyone can justify 20k for these cars when there are so many in the 12-15k+ range. Just my opinion

Does carfax give accident details?

I didn't see hardly any under 100k under $15k in my search.

Ahh. I live up north too. Hopefully I'll see you around. I also have a white 1997 Grand Cherokee with black wheels that I drive more often.
