Default Weather Proof Fuse/Relay centers

What are you guys using for your "weather proof" fuse and relay centers on your stand alone harness setups...??? I've used this Auto-Rod controls 1440 relay module with success on other projects...but it's not really weather proof.

It works ok, but I'm looking for something more weather proof...

1990's GM front wheel drive vehicles have weather tight relays and sockets that work well on mud trucks routinely abused under water and in mud bogs. They are located on the firewall just below the windshield wipers. There is even a cool bracket to mount them. It can be removed with a screwdriver by prying it under the bracket. The control all the EI system outputs including fans and have 10-12 gage wires coming out of them.

Remember just because the relay is sealed does not mean the terminals are sealed and prone to corrosion if not installed inside a vehicle as in your picture. I really have a distaste for exposed power conections too. The GM ones are completely watertight.

I like the Hella relay boxes.

We offer four different kits, three of which are built like newer OEM fuse blocks with splash guards. One is completely sealed. Here is the base kit with the bare essentials for the engine and trans.

Bill, what's the button side look like? Exposed connections? Curious since gm Factory fruck fuse panel bottoms are open but well covered top.

These are covered well enough that it would most likely take submersion or direct spray to cause any issue.

As stated above, we do offer completely sealed options for those that have buggies and other offroad/weathered/marine applications. The pictures below will show some examples of what we have. These are just components and not a finished kit. There are a couple different ways to get from point a to b depending on what kind of power distribution system is going to be utilized.

I think this might be my answer...I have a bunch of these I've collected over the years.

Just another choice, I used Omron G8JN-1C6T-DC12 and or Tyco VF4-6511-S01 with Delphi 12065685 it is a 5 cavity metri-pack 630 sealed shrouded connector. The tyco relay came with the metal clip, not sure if you can adjust the pn to get the clip with the omron relay. I have seen cheap versions of this relay in most parts stores. They dont have the sealing skirt or mounting brackets, but would work if you ever need to just get home.
